What Did You Do With Your Sidecar Today?

For weeks cats and dogs poring down. Today I stepped out of the door for 30 seconds. Passed the day tinkering with a riding gear drying cabinet I make up. Need more insulation material and much stronger fans, but at least I have made the start to pull an idea out of the head and make it true... Thanks to Igor's example I made the step. "Don't dream, make it true."
First test with a wet cloth worked slow due to too many air leaks and no insulation at all and too week fans, but we will improve...

A couple of weeks ago I accepted Jim's invitation to join him for a Mini Bike Run hosted by the vintage motorcycle club in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area.

**Jim rode his YSR50 -see a pic here: https://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/photos/get-photo.asp?photoid=5748

**But he let me ride The Little Red Rig - see pic here: https://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/photos/get-photo.asp?photoid=5749

** Sorry, but for some reason the pics are not displaying using the customary protocol(s).

This past weekend we replaced the front brake pads and mounted a new front tire on the GS rig.

I took my first ride on my KLR Hitchhiker rig. I just got it set up this morning before it got to hot.

Been dying to post this message since I got the rig.

I flew my sidecar intentionally today for the first time. Practiced on a nice smooth, paved side pull-off with lots of room for error. Got so I could flip it up and control it pretty consistently. On the way home, took it the full half mile down our road with the chair in the air.

It was a hoot. Might have created a monster here.

regards,
Rob

Today, I finished changing my rear tire on my EML Rig. Whilst I was in there I was able to lube the spline and flush the rear brakes! Woot! Woot!

We took part in the Chicagoland/Wisconsin Ride for Kids in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, today. I was blessed to be able to provide escort for a young lady recovering from a brain tumor along with her mother. The ride thru the southern Wisconsin countryside was beautiful and we has a great time.

Took the Triumph T100 w/Velorex on a 125 miles ride down into the Willamette Valley south of Portland. Temps in the 90's. Wonderful ride, wonderful day. Would you believe 42.5 mpg! That's about average for most of the rides I've taken.

Yesterday we returned from Friutgarden Rally. Photo of my own rig and my last work - Romen's rig:

The only photo, taken just before sudden storm started. And after rally the next two rigs are in plans. Our hosts want two Romet Ogar 125cc bikes with Velorexes, to ride with their small sons to Romet fans rallies.

What did I do with my Sidecar today? Well I broght home a NEW one. Not a new to me rig but a 2015 Ural cT. I made a short ride in the rain. =)
