The USCA is seeking a Web Site Administrator with Wordpress experience. If you have or know of someone who has Wordpress experience and is interested in developing an innovative Web Site presence. please contact Jan Daub at: roving96535@mypacks.net

Following is a complete job description with responsibility details. ************************************

 

Request for Bid Proposals

The United Sidecar Association (USCA) is soliciting bids from experienced  Web / Systems Administrators to re-design, upgrade and administer the USCA wordpress site ( www.sidecar.com) for an initial one year contract period, with annual performance reviews to determine renewal/extension of the relationship on a mutually agreed upon basis.

  1. Proposed Fee Structure

In your proposal, break out your proposed fee into three parts:

 

  1. An front-end contract fee to re-design and upgrade the site for speed, efficiency and functionality including the requested functions listed below. $___________

 

  1. An on-going monthly fee related to duties of systems administration, back-up, monitoring content, security, updating membership and maintaining the added functions, i.e. membership, yellow pages and advertising.$_______________.

 

 

  • After the initial agreed upon re-design/upgrade period, any future enhancements/add-ons beyond the monthly responsibilities in Section II, requiring more than thirty (30) minutes, will be compensated at the hourly rate of $________ only with prior agreement by both parties.

 

  1. As part of the Web services, because the Web Administrator will make annual contact with sidecar vendors to update, add, delete entries on the Sidecar Yellow Pages, WA will also ask vendors about placing ads with the USCA, said ads will appear both on the web site and in the The Sidecarist Web Administrator will be paid a commission of 20% of all ad fees generated by their efforts (in a typical year, ad revenue can exceed $5000, generating a commission of $1000).

 

 

 

  1. Re-configured our Wordpress web site is to include the follow functionality:

 

  1. In addition to maintaining current agreed upon forum areas (current little used forums might be dropped), add the following forums/functions:
    1. Private Messaging module for USCA members
    2. Add Forums for Member Photos, Sidecar Builds, Sidecar Travel
    3. Add a club Membership Management module to the web site
    4. Add and delete vendor ads to the web site as ads are sold.
    5. Add an online store link to the web site.
    6. Maintain the existing an elibrary of sidecar reference material, adding additional material as approved by the USCA.
    7. Create a Yellow Pages listings on our site of sidecar builders, dealers, installers, parts vendors, mechanics, etc. as a resource for our members. A place where members can find complete sidecars or the parts to repair, rebuild, upgrade or build new. Listing to include national and international vendors.
    8. Upgrade and improve our search engine listing standing

 

  1. Incorporate Five levels of Access to the Site
    1. GP- General Public. Anyone can visit the site, read public forums and postings without registering. To post a general comment or question, they will have to register as a user. Once registered, can start new threads or post comments in the technical and general forums. They cannot post photos, classified ads, nor have access to private messaging, the MO forums nor access the Board forum.

 

  1. MO - Members Only. USCA Members with a USCA membership number can access any of the GP forums plus can post comments, questions, photos, create classified ads, use the private messaging and start new threads.

 

 

  1. Board – USCA Board members can do any of the above plus access the Racedis II, the Board forum for discussing issues concerning the operation of the USCA.

 

  1. Forum Moderator(s) – Designated USCA members will be granted access to the site to monitor comments and actions of visitors/users/members. Will have the authority to delete any spams, offensive or vulgar posting and communicate with those users. Including authority to ban or suspending anyone for abusing the site’s guidelines and rules.

 

 

  1. Administrator – Have all of the necessary tools and control to administer and secure the web site on behalf of the USCA. Shall provide mandatory sharing of access code/passwords with then current USCA Board Officers.

 

  1. All content, code, applications, look, name(s), logo, membership lists, and passwords remain the exclusive property of the United Sidecar Association.

 

  1. The Web platform does not necessarily have to remain on Wordpress. USCA is open to new ideas and proposals to improve the look, efficiency and functionality of the site.

 

  1. Include a resume with references and samples of your previous, or current web management experience to Jan Daub, USCA Vice President, Roving96535@mypacks.net. We are seeking an independent Web contractor to improve, upgrade and administer the USCA Web Site. This is not an offer of employment creating an employer-employee relationship.

Thank you for your time and for consideration. Deadline for submission is May 15, 2021. The USCA Board will meet to discuss and select the new Web Administrator at its annual meeting in June.

Peter we are still looking.  contact Jan Daub our new president in a few days.  He and I will be at the USCA national rally this week.  jhdaub@earth link.net
