Texas Hill Country Sidecar Muster April 29-May 1, 2016
Quote from SwampFox on January 10, 2016, 4:52 pmThe TURD's [Texas Ural Riders Division of the Soviets Steeds] have again invited us to join them for their Spring TURD sidecar muster scheduled for Fri-Sun April 29-May 1, 2016 in Fredericksburg, Texas: http://www.visitfredericksburgtx.com/ This event will be in lieu of our customary East Texas Sidecar Muster.
Rally central will be The Peach Tree Inn: http://www.thepeachtreeinn.com/ For RVer's, the Fredericksburg RV Park: http://fbgrvpark.com/ is ±1/2 mile away and, should the Peach Tree Inn fill up, there are more lodging options within 1/4 mile. Please make your own lodging reservations - The Peach Tree is expecting us.
Final plans are pending, but should include a Friday Ladies Lunch Ride and a 75 mile Saturday paved road group ride to Luckenbach & the Willow City Loop, which can be extended 15 miles to the Enchanted Rock. The TURD's are planning an alternate off-pavement group ride.
There is no registration required, but please let us know if you plan to come so we can plan our rides and meals.
Jena & I will plan to arrive on Thursday, April 28th.

Quote from big al on February 15, 2016, 6:30 pmHello Lee, The bride and I will be there, last year was a lot of fun. I found another camping option @ http://www.fbgtx.org/index.aspx?NID=344 in case anyone else is on the tightwad retired budget. Thanks for your work on this, Alan

Quote from CCjon on March 6, 2016, 10:53 pmLee, is there a block of rooms reserved at Peach Tree Inn for the rally? Just tried to reserve something, but their web site says Friday and Saturday nights at all booked up.

Quote from SwampFox on March 7, 2016, 12:23 amJan, I heard last weekend The Peach Tree is already booked up for the Muster weekend. Google maps does show ~3 other motels within a couple of blocks.
For folks who prefer tent camping, Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park has tent camping with showers for $10/night: http://www.fbgtx.org/index.aspx?NID=343

Quote from big al on April 1, 2016, 11:32 amLee, Do you and the TURDS have a stealth blog on this get together? We are looking forward to it but not seeing much activity here. How many do you expect, I don't want to be holding a " Will commune with other sidecarist's for a beer" sign in Fredricksburg. As always, thanks for your help. Alan

Al, there should be more than 3 dozen sidecar enthusiasts in Fredericksburg. We've been quiet on on this forum, but the TURD's have an ongoing discussion over on their forum: http://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=42609
