Strange Rewards

For those out there that aren't aware of my sideline retirement job - 2 days a week I have been teaching College Algebra at a small Christian College in Rapid City. We finished the Spring semester today and 2 of my students came in with a strange thank you gift - a huge chocolate chip cookie - appropriately decorated for me. Of course when you have college kids around a cookie disappears. The first picture shows the 2 adoptive sisters that gave me the cookie. The second shows a few minutes later. The instruction from me was -"Don't touch the motorcycle." Eventually I will have to sacrifice the sidecar rig - but I want to savor the moment.

Well done!! On both sides of the cookie. You know your students appreciate you... And the second photo demonstrates the old cliche "That's the way the cookie crumbles."

Wow! Outstanding. You must be very much appreciated as a teacher. I never got a cake from my students but was given the nick name of "Friendly Hell's Angel" because I wore leathers to school eveyry day.

Feel very good about yourself.

I've gotten a card with "Older than Hell's Angels", but no cookies.
