Passenger needed for sidecar racing.

I'm a formula two sidecar driver looking for any souls out there interested (crazy enough) in formula 2 sidecar racing. Looking for a passenger for the Sidecar Racers Association West race at Willow Springs International Raceway (Rosamond, CA) May 15-16th. Will likely be looking for a passenger for our race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah September 3-5th.

Any interested parties can check out the SRA-West website at: http://www.sra-west.us

If you're interested in racing all you need is a fullface helmet, gloves, suit and boots. If you don't think you're crazy enough everyone is always welcome to come watch and check out the F1 and F2 rigs in the paddock.

Wish it was not clear on the other side of the country as this old fart would give it a try. LOL

I just looked at the site and they have the sidecar on the wrong side of the motorcycle. LOL Wish the site had more pictures.

Well46u,

Heres your chance you like the 800 mile days 😉 head straight north then a quick right June 11-13 th in New Hampshire at the Loudon motor speedway both modern and Vintage sidecar races http://www.nhms.com

This ones a stones throw from you up the road north a ways and turn right so if your not up to the long day or short on time, June 23-27 10th annual high performance Sidecars in the blue ridge mountains(maggie valley) North Carloina http://www.hpsidecar.com

Be careful of what you ask for around here 😉 maybe come north to Vermont in July with some of the Georgia sidecar guys?

The 800 mile days is not the problem it is the money. Been out of a steady job for a year. The only reason I was able to get my sidecar was selling a bunch of my 20s and 30s Harley parts. I have been in New Hampshire and Vermont beautiful country. On June 11th-13th is the Georgia sidecar club rally. Thanks for the information.

I'd go to the NH event since it wouldn't cost me anything to get in. Only issue is it would cost me an arm and a leg to get there! 🙂

46u, modern formula one and two sidecars are all leftside due to FIM rules. We roughly follow the international rules on the modern cars.

Here's some photo's taken at the last race at WSIR with AHRMA:

I figured something like that was the reason. I was more or less joking about them being on the left. Thanks for the pictures any pictures with the bodies off? Any links to technical information? Do they run regulator motorcycle engines? Are they all hand made or is there companies that make race chassis? The speeds how to they compare to solo racing?
Thanks

46u...check out my buddy's site...http://csrsidecars.webs.com/
There are a few 'body off' pix in 'posters' section. No close ups though. Jean-Guy build these race rigs.

Thanks does give me a better idea but would like to see some close ups.

CSR and Becker are the only two makers of racing sidecars in north america other than people just slapping stuff together in thier garage. LCR in sweden makes most of the top end sidecars you see in Superside. I've been driving a CSR F2 chassis with a BMW K75 motor in it (slow as can be but handles great) while Beckers are generally Suzuki powered. Most F2's are powered by modern 600cc inline 4's and most F1's are modern 1000cc inline 4's. There are a few out there in club racing that are not like that but people are shifting more towards FIM rules that state 600cc inline F2 and 1000cc inline F1. We have one fellow who runs an F2 becker chassis with a 1000cc Suzuki engine. He's had huge problem with the 1000cc engines airbox getting in his way though.

I usually put up photos after each race, just been a bit lazy of late due to traveling around. I'll through some F1 and F2 picks with and without body work on there after this upcoming race weekend on the 15th/16th.

In fact the CSR I'm driving as I understand it is the one Jean Guy built for his wife. Wish he had put a better engine in it.

Thanks for the information. Would love to see pictures with the body off. I tried looking at the link you posted but my attention keep going to the pretty lady. LOL

I'm guess you mean Carrie by pretty lady. She's a tough one. Crashed her SV650 into the back of a car the day after one of her races, busted her arm clean in two and after getting two plates and 13 screws put in her arm was back riding in a month. And she can punch pretty hard when she gets the inclination too 🙂

Mr. Bill Becker has some nude shots of the K75 powered rig I drive.
