NE BDR - Vermont section

Now that my rig is finally assembled and complete, it's time to challenge those trails. Just did a 100 mile recon ride. Still lots of snow in the mountains. Most of the truly exciting roads are closed mid Oct - early May.Ā

Will post more photos later this year when roads are passable. Really wanting to check out the NH and ME sections.

Very cool. I’m about to tackle the MABDR in May. Considered working on the NEBDR in pieces on my V7/Sputnik outfit. How are the tougher VT sections with the sidecar? Is that 100-mile excursion the reason for the sale? I think we chatted last year briefly about your potential sale.

Hey Dirk! I was unable to access the site for a few months but am back. Ended up building a larger rig than I originally had in mind. Only put it up for sale as I'm itching for another bike... Not an urgent sale, love the rig, it does really well. And the asking price may be too high for most folks.

Anyway, based on a few rides with just a Ural frame late last fall, the rig did well on trails as long as there was no serious mud. Gotta have a 2WD Ural for those sections. My fairly strong self-preservation instinct didn't condone me getting myself stuck in mud and snow during my most recent ride. That class 4 road in the photo below was really tempting though haha.

Waiting for trails to get dry-er, so maybe will do more adventurous trips this June.
