Looking for help

Good Morning,

My name is Kelly and I have been riding a multitude of bikes for the past 25 years. I live in Washington and searching for a contact.

A friend has recently been diagnosed and has advanced ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and has lost use of body movement. One of her request is to take a final motorcycle ride. She cannot support her body so a sidecar would be the only way to make this happen.

I would love to honor her request and take her for an hour ride or so, but don't own a sidecar. Is there a place that rents these in the Seattle/Tacoma area or is there someone out there that would be willing to rent theirs to me??

I am just looking for information at this point. If you know of anything that could help. let me know at hawknation1966@gmail.com.

Thanks and God Bless, Kelly

Sorry don't know anyone in Washington. Try looking on Meetup.com. If there is a Motorcycle group where you are, someone may know of a rig for you.

Seems to me you might find someone who would be happy to take your friend for a ride themselves rather than loan or rent you their rig.

Keith = Marine by choice, to the bat phone, please.

This would be a good purpose to get wet these days.

Ural Motorcycles is not far from you, in Redmond - https://www.imz-ural.com/  I'd contact them and see if they have a rig available - they're generally great folks to deal with!

Thanks Alan for the tip!

I have been out of the country attending the national Goldwing rally in Beijing hence the slow response, We are located in Buckley, while I currently do not have a sidecar as it is being built for my new bike if all else fails I can start phoning local customers.

Thanks Jay!

At this point I am looking for "any help I can get". Not looking to make work for you, but if you could keep your ears open that would be great. Shoot me an email if you hear of any possibilities. Thanks again.

Post your question in the Hack section in forums on advrider.com there is a group of local riders who use the forum. I know of at least one that will be quick to respond.
