That is a great idea Al.   What time?   Any topics in particular to discuss?

Have a family zoom birthday party that night, will log in afterwards.

'Sorry guys, I thought it was part of the tag from Zoom.

The Zoom begins at 7:00PM Central Time.  'Hope you can attend but if it's well supported, we can do it again.

Hi guys
I would love to be a part of the Zoom meeting tonight but I'm afraid I can't jam it into an already packed evening. I have to help the Daughter-in-law with some errands that require a pickup and trailer.

Don't give up Al.  So far you have only heard from those who can't participate.

I'm sorry, Al, but I have a cooperative telephone company drive-by annual meeting followed by the monthly meeting of the board of directors for the coop.  I should probably be there because I'm president of the board of directors.

I suspect this Zoom meeting will catch on and there will be subsequent virtual meetings by Zoom

You can call in by phone.  No video but you can hear and speak.  Up to you.

Sorry there wasn't a better turn out. I don't know anything about Zoom or how it works. I hear about it in reference to schooling during covid and I'm sure if we had kids in school I'd know. But even our grandkids are out of school and the great grandkids aren't there yet. So it seems Zoom is for a younger generation and sidecarists are generally an older crowd. Just my thoughts....

Sorry I could not join in Al, the family Zoom meeting took longer than anticipated.

Could we try this again with a longer lead time? Say a week in advance?

Maybe invite the USCA Board to a practice Zoom session.

The dentist treatment took longer then expected due to extremely tough hygienic "drastic measures", I am sorry that I tried too late.

The idea of internet meetings is very good.  That way we "far away members" are able to lurk a bit more in a personal way and perhaps present us. My proposal is to not drop the idea and use a further internet meeting for to present the candidates for the upcoming board elections. (I mean USCA internal elections, not November 3rd).

The time question is for me always a bit confusing. Perhaps it might be helpful to announce the starting time with reference to each time zone. East to Alaska/Hawai. (I know that Costa Rica should be on Chicago time. But Summer/winter time always mixes me up and my office hours  change with each project.)

Best regards from 10ºN, 84ºW

Sven,

You did successfully enter each time but inasmuch as there were only two attendees [and we talk on a pretty regular basis anyway] we called it after half an hour.  Maybe we'll try again another day.

When I get concerned about time offset [Italy always messes me up] I just type "What time is it in Modena, Italy" into my browser and Google will tell you.  Just pick a city in the zone you want.  Chicago is always good for Central Time.
