Quote from Jeff_Online on March 8, 2018, 10:05 amLove it! Not sure how practical is for you as a model addition but it looks like a fun build. And it's hooked to my favorite brand.
You always do some neat stuff. Too bad if I wanted a tool carrier for my trade, I'd need to include 10' sections of conduit. It looks fantastic, though, almost makes me want to sell ice cream in the summer! Where's the bells? LOL

Quote from jaydmc on March 8, 2018, 10:29 amThis came about as we have made quite a few much more up scale ice cream sidecars for a man who donated all profits to children's charities. He had us develop this much simpler cheaper version in the hopes of selling a bunch, He got busy on other things and has not had time to do anything with this so he agreed to let us build the design he paid us to design as long as for every one we sold $1000 was donated to one of 4 children's charities. There are many things we can do with these such as lighting and music. Back when he was active doing the ice cream sidecars (cool cycles ice cream was the company name) he made a lot of money with them including at one three day long event he turned a profit of $10,000. Just going out on nice evenings in the summer he figured he could pick up a quick $300
There is money to be made doing this, it also allows your motorcycle to be a legitimate business expense.

Quote from Jeff_Online on March 12, 2018, 11:38 amOh, trust me, I've thought about it. If the lady doesn't like sidecars, and the daughter doesn't want to go (although she said she thought it was 'kinda cool') I probably will do something similar. Maybe. Thing is, I'm an electrician. I need conduit. I'd have to have it delivered or bring it there on a separate trip. I just can't think of a way to SAFELY transport 10' sticks on a bike. Hmm... Honestly, that really isn't too much longer than a large bike. I know the Roadmaster and the Softail are both longer than 8'... Now you got me thinking... Maybe a rack between the bike & the tool box might actually work...
You got any experience with that, Jay? If anyone does, you do! 🙂

Quote from jaydmc on March 12, 2018, 12:56 pmJust strap the conduit to the struts that go between the bike and sidecar. No big deal at all.
