For Washington residents

The Washington State Motorcycle Program is taking applications for 2 positions on the Motorcycle Safety Education Advisory Board. The term runs from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010. Board members serve a 2-year term of office, and receive no compensation for services, except reimbursement for travel expenses while engaged in business of the board.

The board was created in accordance with RCW 46.20.520 "to assist the director of licensing in the development of a motorcycle operator training education program. The board shall monitor this program following implementation and report to the director of licensing as necessary with recommendations including, but not limited to, administration, application, and substance of the motorcycle operator training and education program."

Applications are being accepted until Thursday, May 1, 2008, which are available on our website at http://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/560019.pdf

I seriously considered it, but with a 3 hour round trip commute
and the obligations I already have I don't think I can.

I sure would love to though.
I have gone to Ferry Advisory meetings and a few other
public forums and spoken up... as you may have guessed,
I'm not shy about public speaking.

I'll continue to think about it, but honestly, it's doubtful.

Besides, they'd probably end up having me removed from
the auditorium at some point 😎

I also doubt I will still be in Washington in 2009.
I will probably move back to one of the free states.
