Excelsior Stahl Sport Radials 500R16 - Anyone??

I am thinking on this for the pusher on my 87 FLHS with hack.  anyone here with recent real world experience?

I know Coker says tube type - as I have mag wheels, and would rather avoid tubes, can I run this tubeless?  

how do they hold up?  Am I on the right track or pissing in the wind?  The only car tire experience I have was back in my shovelhead days when I laced up a 15" wheel and ran 145r15 Michelin XVXs to push a hack.  They lasted 18-20K miles for about half the price of MC tires.

The Excelsiors are about $275 so I want to make an informed decision.

No first hand experience, and no recent knowledge on these tires but what I can remember for 20 plus years back talking to people is that these tires are much taller and did not hold up any better then a motorcycle tire.

Hopefully some one with more current and first hand knowledge will answer your question.
