East Texas Sidecar Muster May 5-7, 2023

The 2023  East Texas Sidecar Muster is scheduled for May 5-7

at the Rusk KOA Holiday at 745 FM 343 East in Rusk Texas

Phone: (903)683-6641   Web:  https://ruskkoaholiday.com/

When you register and/or check-in, please let 'em know you're with the Sidecar Muster, as a discount can be applied at check-in, depending on the number of RV, cabins and tent sites we occupy.

Should suitable lodging not be available at the Rusk KOA, there are two motels a couple/three miles away on Hwy 69 a/k/a Dickinson Drive (but I have no experience with either one):

  • Weston Inn     903-683-8383
  • Executive Inn  903-683-2326

Preliminary schedule includes:

Friday enroute lunch meet-ups

Friday afternoon ride to the nation's longest footbridge

Saturday morning group ride to a country market.

Saturday afternoon games

Saturday evening potluck supper in the clubhouse.

More details and a proposed schedule will be posted as things get sorted out.

Anyone recall the Kisatchie TURD back in Spring of 2017? The one that rained on us and we had to navigate the mud to visit the Kisatchie Bayou? When my friend John Strong made his bean soup for our supper one evening? Unfortunately, John passed away Spring 2018.

In his memory, Jena and I will attempt to cook up a big pot of his bean soup over the campfire :pot: on Friday evening, May 5th - maybe enough for everyone. :hungry: We'll try to have it ready 6:30ish. I don't recall which, or where, our cabin is at the KOA.  Just look us up -- we shouldn't be too difficult to find.
