Car tire for Bonneville
Quote from Damon Pierce on April 27, 2020, 2:08 pmI'm new to the sidecar world and just purchased a 2010 Triumph Bonneville.
Original tires so want to replace this spring. I was thinking about a car tire for the rear end?
Size is a 130-80-17
Any recommendations?

That tire size is the same as the KLR650. The only car tire I found that will fit is a compact/doughnut /space saver tire. 135-17.
New, they will run about $100 or more. I have found new/unused ones in tire repair shops and on craigslist for about $25 - 50.
You will not get a lot of tread on those tires as they are designed for emergency use for short distances, however on a lightweight bike like yours, you should get 5-10,000 miles out of them. Start with a castoff tire and try it before buying a new tire.
