Another newbie w/ the S/C

I've owned bikes for over 30 years, have 5 now starting w/ a 42 WLA up to my 04 Ultra. But I've never drove a w/ a Hack attached. The experience is coming soon though. At present I am getting quotes to put one on my 04 Ultra. I will be installing this myself, w/ the help of some friends. All pretty handy w/ tools. But I'm also thinking about going w/ a foot clutch and a tank shift. Possibly even a reverse gear.
Any advice here would be appreciated.

Jerry

welcome to the world of sidecars, first thing you got to know is all your years of rider mean nothing, you must forget all those second nature thoughts, no more leaning, no more counter stearing, none of that stuff, but trust it's still great ridding with a rig, first you check out the sidecar book here's a link

also reverse would be a greet deal especially with a big bike, heck i wish i had it on my sportster and the tank shifter sounds nice there's a few bikes that use them here, but all in all

i just wanted to say welcome and show you the books they help most people

Let me know if I can be of any help at all on this project. We have many models of sidecars in stock and can order many additional models. We have reverse gears in stock that are real engine driven reverse. We have steering modifications for your bike and even have automotive tires that will fit right on your bikes stock 16 inch rims.
You might want to get your self a copy of the book "Driving a siecar outfit" We keep these books in stock and give them with every sidecar we sell.
You may also want to look into a sidecar class. http://www.esc.org for more information. I am also an instuctor for these classes.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help.
