Album comments gone wild

I noticed a gang of fresh comments listed on an earlier album of mine from a few years back.
When I checked I found that guest spammers had added hundreds of ads for Cialis, insurance, and other spam, using the albums section as another advertising media.
This has got to use up a lot of space here. I'm probably not the only one this has happened to.
Can the comment option be limited to members only? If not perhaps that option should be discontinued.

Lonnie

Good call Lonnie, even my little album is filled with designer handbag scam ads! 292 comments.
That is a problem...

OK, I'll see what I can do!!!

They comments all seem to be posed by Guest's so I've changed the settings to only allow comments by registered users. I can delete the comments one at a time so it may be a while before I get them all cleared out. If your album has been spammed point me in your direction.

It's a pain, but you can delete them yourselves as well, and help Joyce out. Mine have been hit too.

Joyce, I'll clean mine out.

EDIT: I found a quick solution. Save your photo to your computer, then delete it from the website. Now upload the photo again. When you delete it, all the comments go too.

Now we know why there were 200+ guests online one evening earlier this week.

Lee / Summer Grove, Louisiana: Ural cT, CJ750, Burgman/Texas Ranger, Zuma 50F, MB5, TW200, CRF250L, GTV300

It's been going on for a while. Mine started on 8-5-2010 and increased daily. If you go into my odds and ends album, there are comments posted today since I deleted them, but now all it says is Guest, and a blank post.

I had 292 comments, none of them on the rig....
Deleting one at a time will take a while, gotta be a shift inclusive path towards "delete all".
Parasites...

Don, I got them. Turtleman57 you have 11,821 comments in one album and 569 in another and I hope you will follow Mike's advice and upload the photos again. One thing I noticed as I was editing was that even though I've changed the forum settings the albums infected still had a box checked to allow guest posts. I'll go through the recently updated list and check, but this might not be the end of the spammers.

Thank you Joyce, I appreciate that.

How is it done to check the guest comments. Or am I lucky and there are no comments on my photos?
