Bump and lowered price. I was asking $16,000.00. Now asking $15,500.00.

Bump. As the saying goes, I am a motivate seller. I really would like this rig to go to a good home (new owner). Make me an offer.

Zooming your pictures I think I see a North Carolina license plate.  Is the rig located in North Carolina?  If so, maybe that guy from New England who posted that he wants a GW rig might think it's close enough.

Yes, the rig is in eastern NC. Four miles from exit 116 off I-95. Near Wilson NC

2023 New Year's Day bump to the top and a HUGE PRICE REDUCTION. I was originally asking $16,000. Now asking $13,000. Rock bottom price.

I have to add to this listing...Do Not Be Afraid of the relatively LOW mileage on this bike. The 100K miles on an '07 Goldwing is NOT high mileage.

For some of us (me) that is less than one year of riding, as we have done more than 100K miles on Honda Goldwings in less than one year.

In all honesty, a properly maintained Honda Goldwing...and the 2007 model year had zero flaws in it...can easily hit 500K on that drivetrain, so worry not, mi' amigos, this bike will last for more miles and years than any of you will ever use it.

That Hannigan sidecar is a beauty. So for the NEW lowered price of $ 13,000.00, this is one heck of a good deal for a completed, road tested, well put together package.

Seeing your post got me curious so I asked on the 1800 board for things Guys had to repair once over 100K Miles. So far I have received, Steering Head Bearings, Alternator bearings, Wheel Bearings, Final Drive bearings and Oxygen sensor. Not unexpected with those miles just something to be aware of.

I'm not surprised at the Alternator bearings, as some riders have better hearing than other riders, so some riders whined about the alternator bearing making a "whining" noise, when the bike had over 100K miles on it. Wheel bearings are a wear and tear item, and should be replaced about every 3rd or 4th front tire change. Final drive bearing....someone did something wrong, because unlike the BMW rear diff problems that more than 50% of all BMW's had for a lot of years, Honda doesn't have that issue....maybe 1% of all 2001 - 2017 Goldwings may have had a rear diff bearing replaced, so...NOT an issue, when 1% have the problem. Same for Oxygen Sensor....can be considered a wear and tear item, when the engine has over 100K miles on it.

The very well maintained 2007 Goldwing that jbhawley has for sale here is not going to have those issues. Everyone of us in the motorcycle and/or sidecar world have seen riders that do not maintain their equipment, or abuse it, or thrash it...and then want to complain about it not holding up to their abuse.

This bike that jbhawley is selling SHOWS how well it has been maintained. He bought it in 2009, and have been the owner and caretaker for the past 13 years.

I have experienced trust in the sidecar rig that jbhawley is selling....with no doubts.

@Flying Monkeys > Thanks for the kind words.

You are spot on with the mileage, maintance, Et. Al on GL1800s. 100K miles on a well maintained Goldwing is chump change. I have personally seen many GWs with 200+K miles and no major issues and still going strong. Yes, wheel bearings, brakes, alternators. etc are all wear parts; no different than an automobile. Yet, i have also seen bike with 25K miles falling apart, dripping oil, bald tires. spongy brakes, etc.

I was looking at my records on maintenance on this bike over the weekend. Yep, I still keep a printed copy of maintenance, repairs, tires etc in my file cabinet. The stack of papers was an inch thick or more. While that may seem like a lot of stuff done to this bike; take into account this is over 12-13 years of ownership including invoices for parts, countless tire changes (I change my own tires), oil changes, light bulbs, adding a do-dad, and preventative maintenance items that just need replacing because I didn't want the part failing on me at the most inopportune time. Doing my own wrenching is a labor of love and care. All I had in it was time and the cost of parts. Sometimes, a LOT of time to replace a 3$ part; like the little LEDs that are behind the handlebar switches or the 3-4 hours it takes to get to the air filter to clean and recharge it (K&N). LOL.

I want this rig to go to a good home and new owner that can appreciate it as much as I have over the years. Hence the new I WANT TO SELL price. I just don't ride the bike enough anymore to justify keeping it in my garage and paying insurance and taxes on it.

If anyone is interested, please feel free to give me a call. I will bore you to tears with any information you need.

Thanks, John

I will make this offer:  If anyone on the Best Coast....aka the West Coast, wants to buy this beautiful 07 Goldwing and Hannigan sidecar rig that is located in North Carolina, and you have issues with how to get it from North Carolina to the Best/West Coast....I will offer to fly out to North Carolina, and drive the rig back to you on the Best/West Coast, and deliver it to your door.

Those that know me, know that this is not an outlandish offer, and that I am more than capable of doing this.

The problem as I see it, is that fantastic rigs like this come up for sale on the opposite coast from where a potential buyer lives, and they cross it off their search list because of that cross-country ride/drive. That should never be a problem for sidecar pilots.

Offer is serious !

JB Hawley, I just sent you several PM's...private messages....as one of the guys that is an olde time sidecar owner, lives in Colorado...wants to buy your rig, and pay full price, and pay CASH. He will call you tonight, Friday the 13th. Sell it to the olde man from Colorado, rather than the guy from New Hampshire.

Currently the rig is still on the market. I have a gentleman coming to look at it today (Jan 19). If he doesn't get it then a gentleman in Colorado is next in line on the offer.

Thanks for looking. -JH
