Went to the post office to put in my passport renewal application.
A mug shot and $420 latter.

Just went to work but took the long way home.Β 80 Degrees in October in PA - had to take advantage.Β

With the rig I got urgently needed spares for the farm mower and a brand new bigger battery for the Ural rig. Came back home instants before the typical Β tropical down pore set in. Now to wait until daylight and hopefully sun shine come out to fix both and celebrate my birthday tomorrow using both.
2020.Β Stored pics that I never looked at.Β

Met up with a few of the vintage club members at Pengoes Cafe by the beach.
We had coffee then went convoy to the funeral of an older member.
It was less than a month that we had coffee with him there. The Harley in the pic previously belonged to him.

Bruce, sorry for your loss of a motorcycle riding mate.

On our motor east along Route 66 Norton(Kel) & I didn't go through Saint Louie, but did stop in Joplin Missouri.Β Might not be as pretty as Kansas City, but was a fun for more than one.
(think I just heard Bobby Troup roll in his grave 😯 )
Hold my keyboard and watch this! π
@miles-ladue thanks Miles.
Not making light of the situation though I scarcely knew Dennis personally.Β
But rather the last few months j having met up with the vintage bike crew at my local beach Cafe.
I felt to support them as they farewelled a friend.Β
Β
It was all very local to me so not difficult.Β
Dennis was a popular man who had a full life with many experiences.
His widow was pleased to see us there soΒ worth while going.
It's a problemΒ hanging with old guys.
There's many a fascinating story but most of the story has already been run.
3 score and ten and if by reason of strength eighty years.Β
I've already started on the tenth year of my 3 score so who knows.Β
Had lots of Fall riding plans but most got put on the back burner.. A major house renovation and Dear Kathy's A Fib acting up put the kibosh on things.Β
Still managed to get out on the Old Rig and give it some exercise. Winter is now upon us so won't be riding much until Spring.. We have plansΒ

I'm surprised that rig hasn't sold yet.Β BMW with a silver Ural sidecar.Β AND a leading link.Β That's a winning combination right there.

Visited Pennsylvania State Parks 35 and 36 of 124 on the list. 80 degrees today, so it was a great Wing ride. Saw more motorcycles than Dollar Generals, which is really saying something in this neck of the woods.Β
If hubby can find a hot dog stop, we're there. This little place was pretty good.
An impromptu run with the heritage club.

Well Friends,
Got invited out on a pleasant little junket this week with a couple of good friends, out and around Sierra Vista (US Mexico Border)...
Google kinda straightened out the twisty sections, above, in their maps timeline, but rest assured, there were some fine dirt roads with some paved twistiness to make life fun.
The weather was near perfect, clear skies with just a little coolishness to make it worth turning on the grip heaters and maybe plugging a jacket in for mornings. (Low of 29 F, -2C, highs around 60F, 16C)
We headed out from a truck stop on I-10, blasted down to I-19, and got off at Grass Valley to catch some fine twisty dirt roads out and around Sonoita, Patagonia and up to the Coronado National Monument.
Road conditions were pretty good, albeit considerably rougher than I had remembered. Hell getting old!Greg and David were both on their BMW GS's, and tell me the sand we encountered was a little worse, as well.
We stopped for lunch in a pleasant little clearing, just past the strip mine. Greg told us the water in the past three water crossings was a little chilly. I just don't think he was going fast enough to part the waters!

I'm pretty sure a good time was being had by all!!!
We gained a little elevation and things opened up a bit... literally.
c't'd from above
High atop the Coronado National Monument; ~6,700 ft elevation...
On the way down, came around a curve and surprised a family of deer in the middle of the road. Evidently wasn't fast enough to document their departure:
A little farther down the hill, and surprised by a little black bear in the road:
Sunset, heading to the motel was pretty spectacular. Didn't get a place to stop to shoot it in it's best glory, but did take these:
Rodeway in near Fort Huachuca didn't disappoint. Checked in with a nice lady at the front; found out
"The Angry German" restaurant was closed, so ambled back to Sierra Vista for a tasty Applebee's sandwich or two.Next morning started out a little chilly, so none of us were in a big hurry to get on the road. Stopped for a nice breakfast, then headed up the road to Benson, AZ.
Where the sidewalk ends...
Some fun curvy dirt roads back up through San Manuel:
