Taking a 101 year young lady for a sidecar drive

Some of you may remember that a year or so ago I was asked to give a 80 year young lady a drive in my BattleWing Galactica sidecar rig, as a present from her two daughters. That was fun, and it was well worth doing, and sharing the sidecar experience with an octogenarian.
Yesterday, I get a text from the sales manager at my local Honda dealership, so I called him to see...what do you want...dang it ?
He tells me that one of their customers has asked if they know of anyone that has a sidecar rig, as their 101 year young Mother that has a very long history of riding on Honda Goldwings, is wanting to take "one last ride", and they believe this is best done in a sidecar, versus a 2 wheeled motorcycle.
Of course, you know what I said.
So, things are being set up for this olde guy to give a Century+ Lady a drive in my BattleWing Galactica sidecar rig.
Pictures WILL be taken.
And now...I throw down the sidecar challenge gauntlet......
I challenge all you other sidecarists to give a ride to someone (that is alive) in your sidecar...that is older than 101 years, and the caveat is that they must survive your sidecar journey. Scaring them to death does not count as a successful journey.

Now you've even got the electric chair lift to make it easier for "Grandma" to get in and out.
Very cool! 😎

Scott, I wish you would pay attention to what is going on in my life..... because the Electric Chair Lift is installed in the Sidecar rig that is on its way to Europe.
The BattleWing Galactica will get an Electric Chair Lift install later this Summer, but doesn't have one right now.
For Pete's sake....pay attention

You are a hard man to keep up with. So much going on, I'm not sure how you keep up with you. 😉

Update: the local Honda dealership tells me that the planned date is March 23rd, as that is her Birthday. Going to pick her up at the dealership, then do a 15ish mile cruise to her daughter's house in Lacey, for the official Birthday party.
Gee.... that is 8 days after my birthday.... but I won't be 101 years old....yet.

Hmm my dad passed near 3 years ago.
Has an older sister still with us.
Lives near Albury in the east.
Last I heard she was still mobile and cognitive.
Some logistics involved.

Best I could do was taking my 91 year old neighbour for a ride.. His wife was kinda cantankerous and an A to B type.. (Every one loved Vie) Joe loved to explore but was never able to late in life. So off we went one day. We had a great time just puttering around all the back roads around the area.. I took him into a little park with a short walk into a water fall.. He marvelled that such natural beauty was so close to home.. We had several beers on his back deck to celebrate after.. They could both out do me several time over 🙂
Sadly they are both gone now but while here made our neighbourhood a special place. I miss them both.

This is Margo Hadley, the 101 year YOUNG lady that I will be giving a sidecar ride to tomorrow, on her Birthday.
According to her daughter, Margo has quite the history of riding on motorcycles across the country, both across the USA and across Canada.

Well, the good deed is done, and now I will have to WAIT for everyone that was there to send me pictures, as I didn't take any, due to a steady downpour of rain, getting a 101 year young lady into, and out of the sidecar, all whilst dodging rain drops, questions from family members, driving Margo from the local Honda dealership to her daughters home 9 miles away. Slow and steady...took 20 minutes on surface streets.
Margo is a very sweet little young lady, at 101 years young she still has a strong spirit, and a zest for life, especially riding motorcycles. When we got to her daughters house, and I assisted her in exiting the sidecar, she said that she could have just ridden on the back seat of the motorcycle, which made everyone laugh, but...its' true.
TIP: If any of you do get the opportunity to give a sidecar ride to an elderly lady, or...even a little olde man....key up Barbara Steisand's..... "The Way We Were" in your audio system. I played that, over and over again, during the entire ride.
Pictures will be forthcoming.....

As promised...Pictures, and even one short video posted somewhere in these next few posts:
These first 5 pictures were taken at the local Honda/Suzuki/Polaris dealership, and Margo was absolutely surprised at what was happening, as she had no idea at all that this was set up for her.....101st Birthday.

Then we take off down the road...in the rain...with a caravan of family members following us in 4 cars.
