watching the fun play out. Like a Fellini movie at times.
I, and Isabella Rosalini picked up my Euro-Wing rig today, and I was pleasantly surprised, rather shocked....but in a good way....that Haulbikes was able to ship a PHAT sidecar rig from Washington State to Las Vegas, then Las Vegas to Ocala, Florida, without scratching it, or bumping it, or....any damage at all. I am very happy about this, just wasted several nights sleep worrying about it.
So, kudos to Haulbikes for an excellent job. From the friendly guy that loaded it up in Washington State, to the friendly guy that handed it off to me in Florida, and to Andrea (Andie) that was the head office communication liason with me.....I am very happy with their service.
Isabella Rosalini and I then drove the sidecar rig, following Bob Weis, to his ranch out in Astatula, Florida, where it's now parked inside his shop.
Due to the NDA that I signed of not taking pictures of Isabella Rosalini, I will have to provide Scott with pictures of when I drop this rig off tomorrow, at the overseas shipping company. Isabella Rosalini gets dropped off at her yacht earlier tomorrow, as she and Frederico Fellini sail off into the sunrise....not sunset....ya wankers.

Imagine the disappointment when I found out she isn't a Spinone Italiano.
So much for a pheasant dinner. 😯

Dropped the Euro-Wing off at the overseas shipper, all went well. Now sitting at the airport in Orlando, waiting 6 more hours before my flight to Frankfurt takes off
There..... pictures for Scott to look at.
Next time I see this Sidecar rig will be more than 2 months from now, in Heidelberg, Germany.

I like how clean the warehouse is. Also like the striping on the sidecar and Goldwing. Didn't remember seeing this before. Very classy.
Sounds like you'll have plenty of time to "people watch". "People of Walmart" have nothing on "People of Airports". lol

A very, Very, VERY odd coincidence is occurring.
The plane I am talking from Orlando to Frankfurt is a.... EuroWings airlines.
My Sidecar rig is named... Euro -Wing
I can't make this stuff up.
I had never heard of EuroWings airlines.

Miles, I was struck by your sad face emoji that it needed a companion. I suggest the following to adequately demonstrate the emotions in play:
today: ......... "A Few Months Later"..........
And just because:

Hardy har har, the Pirates of Penzance.
Mentioning pirates, I received my new to me Subaru XV Hybrid today. It's all that the dealership purported it to be, so no complaints. Here it is parked in front of the hotel I am staying in for the next 4 nights.

Nice ride Miles! Subies are a very popular vehicle in Utah, and Colorado for good reason. Will serve you well. 🤩
Hope the hotel is comfortable, and your work is all rewarding.

Scott, this is Subaru # 12 for me, so I know them quite well. Considering that we want to explore Norway, Sweden, and Finland in the Wintertime.....a Subaru is the perfect vehicle, with serious snow tires.

Why is it, reading your post conjures images like this?

Good to see you "parked" up for a bit. Well done on #12 also.

Drove my new-to-me Subaru XV Platinum Hybrid a little more than 325 miles today, traversing Germany to and fro, and all is well. Went up to the Subaru dealer to have them pull the codes from the car's computer, then clear all codes, and the reason why the Check Engine light was previously on was exactly what I thought it would be....a low battery, because this car has sat more than it's been driven.
Built in mid 2019, as a 2019 model year, but not originally sold until July 2020...which means it's still under factory warranty for another 5 months...then in the next 4.5 years it was only driven 20,400 miles. Then sat on the dealership lot again, until I bought it, then sat for another month, until yesterday.
All good now, everything adjusted to the way I like it, runs perfectly, and this last tank of petrol it got 33.5 mpg...and that is at Germany highway speeds.
Ergo, and therefore...I am satisfied.
Ordered a heavy duty powerpack Jumpstart battery kit, that was shipped to this hotel, and was delivered here an hour before I checked in, so it's now fully charged, and in the car, so that if I return to Europe in the future, and find that my "parked car" in won't start....I have an emergency Jumpstart battery to do it.
Also ordered a very heavy duty 7 layer full car cover, that I had shipped to Knopf Tours in Heidelberg, which is where my Euro-Wing sidecar rig will be stored, and my Subaru parked in his gated compound, so I picked up that car cover today, and will keep it in the car, ready for use. If I leave the car up in Scotland, I will cover it there too.

When do they put in the racing seats, and 5 point harnesses? 😉
That's a good day of driving to shake things out. A car cover with a solar panel would be pretty cool. Or velcro a flexible solar panel to the car cover you are getting, with a small charge controller.
A buddy and I were up in the mountains wheeling when we came upon a diesel pickup truck with dead batteries. Middle of nowhere, and no cell reception. My buddies jump pack got him started. I was amazed, so was the guy with the truck. Never leave home without one now. 👍
