I shall be unavailable for the next 24 hours, as I will be flying to Paris, FR, then to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Yes, I will take pictures, and post them here.

Safe Travels Amigo! 😎
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

Walked around a bit last night...not much though, as I had been up for 30+ hours, long flights, then 3+ hours drive from Edinburgh (once I got out of Edinburgh.... finally) to Fort Augustus, or Loch Ness.
A bit scary driving in the LEFT lanes of the road, in a Right hand drive BMW 3 series M sport.
Heck, I figured that if Bruce @brstr could do it in Western Australia, whilst dodging 'roos, then I can do it in Scotland whilst dodging sheep.
Walked around a bit more this morning, seen half the small town of Fort Augustus, had a nice breaky at a quaint cafe', but disappointed that I haven't spotted Nessie....the Loch Ness monster...yet.

Did you at least see the bubbles Nessie blows?
That's the source of the monster label...
I found if the steering wheel belongs towards the centre of the road.
Then it's easy.
With handle bars on a bike I tended to relapse.
Well until my way foward became covered in headlights.
Should be following taillights .
Edit.

How's the weather? I heard Nessie only comes out on foggy days. 😉
Just noticed Loch Ness is only 7 hours ahead of Pacific time. So basically your travels have had you for and aft of the future.

Scott, or.....great Scot, there is a 7 hours time difference today....but next weekend it will be back to it's regular 8 hours time difference. The UK turned back their clocks a week earlier than the US does.
And the weather is perfect, meaning overcast skies, foggy over Loch Ness, must have rained a bit last night, cool 50 degrees, so.... perfect for my wife and I... exactly what we were expecting and hoping for.
I scanned the lake surface...no bubbles to be seen.

SWMBO & I spent a week driving around Scotland seeing the sights and tracking down her family heritage from Airle (north of Dundee). We missed Ft Augustus as we traveled north up from Lochgilphead to Inverness as we sidetracked west to Isle Skye to visit the Talisker Distillery. We took the A87 from Invergarry to Portree and then the A887 to Invermoriston which reconnects to A87 north of Ft. Augustus. We were there in March 2019 and there was snow down to the Lochs (sea level) so it was still pretty cold! Regardless, I can't wait to return to Scotland and get a nice big bowl of Cullen Skink!
Driving on the "other side" wasn't too bad, but adding in the roundabouts made for some challenging driving.

The worst part for me when I was in South Scotland was that the turn signal lever was on the RH side of the steering column. Every time I tried to indicate a turn, the windshield wipers came on.
Illegitemi non carborundum est!

@thane-lewis Looking up to the right for the rear view mirror and only seeing the "A" pillar took some getting used to. Driving an automatic made it much easier too. Diesel cars with stick shift transmissions are really common, when you rent a car you have to ask to make sure you get an automatic. We rented the car at the airport in Manchester and when we told the kid that tooks us out the car we were driving up north as far as Inverness, he was "Inverness! That's almost 400 miles!!" Hahahaha! I didn't have the hart to tell him we were going south to Cardiff, Wales and meander our way up. I guess they tend not to wander too far from home over there. I must say that some of the backroads are quite narrow and with the hedgerows on each side, oncoming traffic can get pretty exciting!

When I was there we were touring with a band. Since I was sound/roadie/navigator, I got a Hyundai cargo van. It was a diesel with manual, thankfully shifter on the floor since I think 5 in the tree would have likely resulted in RTAFs.
Illegitemi non carborundum est!

Agree with all the road notations as stated above. I had reserved the smaller Mercedes-Benz, with an automatic transmission, thinking it would be narrow enough to easily fit on these skinny roads. When I get to the car rental desk, he says no Mercedes-Benz left (again, it was the smallest version) and he puts me in a new BMW 320i, M sport, which is a wide track car, very low profile tyre's, and....I am scared.
Yeah, the way they drive up here is nerve wracking, especially if a lorry or tour bus is coming at you. So far....less than 24 hours to go....I haven't dented the car, and no noticeable scratches, but....I have very much ruined those wide track wheels. All 4 wheels now have scraped edges,,,quite noticeable.
Gulp !
Today is the big decision day, a lot riding on whether or not the seller of this flat in Fort Augustus accepts any of the 3 different offers I have laid on the table.
If he says yes, then I also have a full list of brand new furniture waiting for me to pay for, and arrange the delivery date. Plus I have a deal worked on a 2021 Subaru XV Premium, less than 20k miles on it, all negotiations have been agreed to, so IF the seller of the flat accepts one of my offers, then I need to drive to the Subaru dealer and complete that deal and pay for the car.
A lot is riding on what the seller decides, and...when he announces his decision.

Lets hope it all flows the way you want it to; just that first Domino needs to fall. If it all goes through you can both have a cruise round some of the area for awhile and catch your breath.
When i was in UK i had a Renault Scenic Minivan perfect for narrow roads and seeing across hedges.
Good luck to you both, be safe =)

Perhaps I should ship the Fiat there?
Little sucker is no more than 1.5 meters wide?
Hope the wheeling and dealing works out.

Well whilst the rest of you were sleeping, I had a nervous day, but accomplished everything I wanted and needed to do, before Noon, in the Land of Scots.
I had to sidestep my assigned "solicitor ", and he was not happy about that, but I am the one on a short time line, whilst the two Solicitors wanted to play patty cake with one another. Sometimes you need to think, and act, outside the usual box of how things are done....dang it.
Bottom line...between myself and the seller, we got the deal done. It proves the old adage, two Doctors are smarter than a room full of Lawyers, or Solicitors in this case.
Okay, I was already at the Subaru dealer working my deal there, whilst also emailing back and forth with the flat seller, and my unhappy solicitor, when cooler heads agreed that we have an agreement on purchasing the flat, the apartment in the Old Benedictine Abbey.
Great, now I complete my deal with the Subaru dealer, and finish that transaction.
Then I contacted the furniture store, conclude my purchase with them. It will all be delivered at a future date.
Whew....what a morning,
