Forgive my being a gardener for a moment, and planting this seed, but I have a reason to do this.

Going to put my recently shipped to Europe sidecar rig up for sale, in the hopes that at some point over the next year or two, someone thinks this through and decides this is a good deal to have a fully completed sidecar rig, ready to ride, planted on the European continent, so that they too can do what my wife and I had planned to do.

2015 Honda Goldwing 1800 w/Hannigan GTL sidecar, all color matched, 100% ready to be driven for many, many miles, or...kilometers....and only needs an oil change every 5k miles, at least for the next 50,000+ miles.....that is how well this rig is prepped and mechanically built.

Bike has less than 36,000 miles on it, and is as perfect mechanically, as is humanly possible. If you know me, then you  understand that statement.

The rig is currently stored in a private garage/storage building in Heidelberg, Germany, under the protection of Stefan Knopf (Knopf Tours), and is being charged a nominal fee for the monthly parking. It is INSIDE, all covered up with motorcycle covers, on both the bike and sidecar, and it is plugged in to a Battery Tender. It is 100% ready to be driven right this minute, full tank of fuel, fresh oil, and every finite item that can be or could be checked on it for mechanical perfection has been done.

At this moment, I have well over $ 40,000.00 USD invested into this entire rig, from beginning to end, and I am all too aware that 99 % of you are not going to be willing to, or able to pay that amount for a completed rig, on a different continent. That is my loss, but someone else's gain.

Asking price is a firm $ 25,000.00, USD.... Clear Washington State Title, in my name.

This entire rig is BUILT, and not just a cosmetic once-over. Everything, and I do literally mean EVERYTHING that can be corrected, improved, updated, or made to be mechanically sound has been done. I built this rig so that once it left my shop, and was shipped to Europe, NOTHING needed to be done (except oil and filter changes) for the next 50,000+ miles.

There is a lot of details on this bike and sidecar, even things like a Hannigan Electric Chair Lift inside the sidecar, so the passenger can more easily sit down to a raised seat, then lower themselves down into the sidecar....or raise themselves UP from the lowest position, to make exit from the sidecar easier.

I won't write a dissertation here about every finite item, but more than willing to explain everything to an interested buyer.

Short Synopsis: Brand new tires on all three wheels, Run-Flat Car Tire on the motorcycle rear wheel, Bridgestone BT-46 motorcycle rear tire turned backwards and mounted on the bike's front wheel. All new brake pads at all 3 wheels, Brand New Russell Day Long seat, Brand new Klock Werks tinted windshield, etc, etc, etc.

Just...think about it. A completed sidecar rig, already in Europe, already parked in a known storage garage, very easy access to get it from the storage garage, and return it to the same storage garage. Centrally located in Europe, so you can go in any direction, and see all of Europe.

This ad will be up...until it is sold, which I anticipate will be a year or more from now.

If interested, let me know, and we can talk via e-mails, or on the phone.

I speak for everybody when I say we were really looking forward to reading about your European adventures. Fate has other plans for you two. Just like it did when she put you two together back then.

Sidecaring Europe might not be on your forefront right now, but new doors with new adventures are opening every day. Be ready to embrace them.

I am compelled to add this:

The sidecar rig is LOADED with all the road safety equipment,  tire repair tools, scissor jack, first aid kit, battery operated roadside flares, etc, etc, etc that you would ever want or need for continued operation around Europe.

The bike and sidecar both come with two covers each....A soft Geza cover to protect the paint, then a silver top cover to protect the Geza cover, and it's silver so car drivers SEE the parked rig, and not run into it.

Included with this rig is a full assortment of  Gerbing Heated Clothing,  from neck to toes, and everything in between.

"IF" someone wants this sidecar rig,  but....wants it in the  USA rather than in Germany,  it can be arranged to be shipped back to the  USA.

Shipping would be from Heidelberg,  Germany to Orlando,  Florida,  leaving Germany in late November,  and arriving in Orlando in mid February.

From Orlando,  I would then deliver it directly to the buyers home....wherever that may be.

Cost of shipping this sidecar rig from Germany to Florida is $ 2,500.00

The  shipping cost of $ 2,500.00 added to the cost of this sidecar rig,  at $ 25,000.00, for a total of  $ 27,500.00 is......quite frankly....a low price for all that is included....delivered to your house in the US.

Again,  I have well over $ 40k into this entire sidecar rig,  so much more than  $ 40k, that I am embarrassed to say, so at $ 27,500.00 delivered to your house,  that is a good deal.

Ask anyone that has bought one of my Sidecar rigs,  and they will tell you....I  don't sell junk. I actually  care about how my rigs are put together

I was asked...."if the bike is a 2015, when was the Hannigan GTL sidecar added ?"

I bought this bike from Hannigan Motorsports last Summer, 2024, as it was their showroom model, to show off their GTL sidecars.

Hannigan had bought the 2015 Honda Goldwing a couple years earlier, and then built this GTL sidecar to go with this 2015 Goldwing, even color matching it, and added painted on striping to match the bike and sidecar. Sidecar was built by Hannigan in 2022.

So, when I bought this completed rig last Summer from Hannigan, reality is that since it was a showroom model, and had been test driven by some prospective customers, the completed rig had about 300 miles on it, so...the GTL sidecar had 300 miles on it.

I flew in to Kentucky, and drove this rig home to Washington State, did all my fine tuning and long term prep work on it in my shop, before shipping it off to Europe, so....the actual mileage on the Hannigan GTL sidecar is about 3,000 miles in total.

The bike itself has less than 36,000 miles on it, and....given that it is a Honda Goldwing 1800, that means it has used less than 7 % of it's normal usable life.

That Hannigan Electric Chair Lift that I ordered from Hannigan last November...it alone cost me $ 1,500.00, but it is well worth it if you have a sidecar monkey that needs a little help getting into the seat, or out of the seat.

Given that the bike is a 2015 Goldwing, which is the 40th anniversary of the Goldwing line, and the bike has the badges on the front of the fairing, and on the rear trunk to show it is the 40th anniversary model, I ordered two more of those same badges, and installed them on the front and rear of the sidecar, to tie the sidecar into the bike even more.

It's the small things, that can make a big difference.

Things like:

017

After taking this picture, I then covered that Hannigan ID plate with aluminum tape, to protect the ID plate, so it would always be in clean/clear condition, so that if I, or anyone else ever needed to ID this sidecar, the ID plate would always be readable.

I was also asked the question: "For driving around all these countries in Europe,  how do you get around? Maps, your smart phone, what ?"

This reminded me...the bike itself comes with a brand new Garmin Zumo XT GPS, mount cradle on the left side of the handlebar, with the power cord already installed,  and routed....ready to plug into the brand new Garmin Zumo XT GPS, and this Garmin Zumo XT already has all the maps for all of Europe,  as I ordered this from a European vendor, so that it would come with European maps all preloaded.

And.....the sidecar has its own brand new Garmin Drivesmart 76 GPS, with mount already in place on the left side of the dash, and power cord already installed,  ready to plug in to the Garmin Drivesmart 76 GPS, that has preloaded maps for all of Europe.

Both the bike, and the sidecar have phone mounts already in place on the right side....right side of handlebar, and right side of sidecar dash, with power cords already in place,  to plug into your smartphones.

Both Garmin GPS's are brand new, and included with this sidecar rig.
