Good luck with your search. If you find one and the mounts one thing for sure there will be nothing reasonable about the cost. Post up the progress.

Thks All! found one 👍🏼

Post pictures and progress please . It would be great to see

After thinking about long term ownership of purchasing a sidecar I figured that I better stay with Harley, which is not that easy to find one in my price range for one in the 60’s. So this showed up on eBay the other day for buy it now 4k. (He wanted to keep the bike but not the sidecar.) So I guess its road trip time since haven’t had a vacation for over a year 🤗

Seems lucky day for you. As you work on getting it mounts Please post pictures it is very interesting tp many of us the own and drive sidecars rigs.

Will do! I have had one in the pass when i was stationed at raf lakenheath in England in the 80’s found this one about 20miles from stonehenge and restored it there and they shipped it back in my household goods.

1939 16h norton with a Watsonian sidecar had it several years but sold it in 2011 for some property

Good score on the sidecar.

What year is it? Look s like it might be a late model Shovel?

Make sure you get the parts to mount it to the bike.

These are your front lower mounts. If the rig is from a Shovel (LE) then the mounts  on it will also will also fit  your bike

Make sure you get the sidecar frame brace and the upper connection bracket components. These parts will also be a direct fit for your bike

The rear frame component parts are different for your bike (mounts on the swingarm. Shovel models (73 and up?) used a different mounting system (mounts to the frame)

Connected to give you an idea of what it looks like

Be sure to get the brake line as well. You will need to add the line that goes from the master brake cylinder to the sidecar frame (#8777-58).

The other mandatory parts will be the adjustable triple trees. I dounbt the seller will take his front end apart to sell you those tho (you can see they are there in the pics you posted).

Thanks for the info 👍🏼 I’ll know more when I get it home but they said all attachments will be included and the bike it come off of is 1984 Flh police edition and belonged to his father inlaw so not sure what year the sidecar is, he says vin# on bike and sidecar don’t match.

1959 Factory sidecar
