California Friendship II Tonneau

WTB a Tonneau Cover-- or even a template-- for my California Friendship II. THANKS!

exactly which cover do you want?
I have a new to me California Friendship II with I believe three different covers.
One has removable side panels to completely close the cockpit in.
Not certain on the other two, would need to dig them out and really mess with them
maybe this week probably next week I could take pictures and email you.
Then we can talk about patterns as I will keep the covers with the sidecar.
kick me an email to remind me.
Right now the rig is outside covered up and need some warmer weather to mess with it
Garage is too full right now.
Ron

No rush, Ron-- "after the thaw" will be plenty soon enough! I have a convertible cover (missing one of the frame mounts) but what I'm hoping to find is a flat, snap-on cover that essentially seals the sidecar from wind, rain, etc. I plan to use it for cargo (and ballast) more than for passengers, so a tonneau would keep stuff safe and dry, and even reduce wind resistance. I don't have a windshield on the Friendship II, at this point, and may or may not add one. THANKS.... Let's keep in touch!

When I bought my Friendship II and rebuilt it I had our local California Sidecar dealer order me a new one from CSC. Unique of course only sells the trike kits since CSC is out of the sidecar business but the dealer did get me a new tonneau cover from them. The covers come without snaps or attachment holes but since I redid the whole sidecar body that was not a big deal and I could put the mounting points where I wanted them.

Did not know there was a tonneau cover for the Friendship II... where do you store the canopy bars when putting the tonneau cover?

I did not put the canopy bars on it when I rebuilt it and they were not on it when I bought it, as a matter of fact I filled the mounting holes for it when I patched up the rest of the holes.. This is the factory Friendship II tonneau from CSC though. I could get a better picture if anyone cares but it fastens on the dash just under the windshield and fastens to the edges all of the way around the tub. It is absolutely waterproof also as I have been in some serious gully washers with it and everything in the tub was bone dry. I rarely carry a monkey and when I do it is just for short trips, no travelling so I do not need the canopy.

As purchased, a serious barn find complete with chicken droppings;

After some serious repair work;

Sorry but I like pictures.

Maybe I could install a tonneau cover by just replacing the bolts of the canopy bars by thumb screw... but still I'll have to drill by the windshield for the snaps..
BTW: what kind of suspension do you have? Brake?

No brake and mine has the old torsion suspension with the cut VW springs. I will get a better picture of the cover when I get home tonight so you can see how I set it up.

Not to hijack this further but here is a picture of the tonneau I got from CSC.

Nice! Where does the carrier come from?

stock Harley TLE sidecar rack, not a Tour Pack rack.
